Welcome to Qeresja: An Introduction to the World of Arreqqana

 1. The Spark of a Universe

On January 11, 2018, a project booted up—not with code, but with a word. Arreqqana was born not as a mere language, but as the operating system for a universe, a world that flickered to life with the gloss of Y2K chrome and the glow of candlelight. Its origin is best captured by the creator's own reflection on that moment:
"I typed the first breath… and a world answered."
This world, and the language that gives it voice, is the creation of Lala Tiaana. Her creation is built upon a foundational trinity of vision, place, and people.
2. Meet the Creator and Her World
The Arreqqana project is built upon a foundational trinity: Lala Tiaana, the architect of the universe; Qeresja, the world she built; and the Qeresjiakianii, the cultural group who give it life. Together, they form the core of a deeply personal and intentional world where the Arreqqana language is not merely a tool, but its very soul. To give Qeresja and the Qeresjiakianii their voice, she forged a language with its own unique beauty and logic.
3. The Voice of Qeresja: An Overview of Arreqqana
Arreqqana is a language with distinct aesthetic and phonetic principles. Its structure is defined by its unique script, its own "laws of physics" for sound, and a set of beautiful, ornamental symbols.
3.1 The Nuriyani Primqa Script
The written form of Arreqqana is a custom script known as Nuriyani Primqa. It is designed around three core characteristics that give it a unique visual identity:
• Cursive: The script is flowing and connected, with letters designed to link together smoothly.
• Ligature-compatible: It supports ligatures—special characters that combine two or more letters—which enhances its natural, connected flow and aesthetic appeal.
• Dual-case: Like many Latin-based alphabets, Nuriyani Primqa has both upper and lower case forms for its letters.
3.2 The "System Rules" of Sound
Just as a universe has physical laws, Arreqqana has pronunciation laws. These "System Rules" govern how certain letter combinations must be pronounced, ensuring a consistent and unique sound for the spoken language.
Rule
Pronunciation
sha
sja
tha
dda
qha
"cha"
qua
"qwa"
3.3 "Jewelry for Sentences"
Beyond its core alphabet, Arreqqana features 13 special ornamental symbols. These are not letters or punctuation in the traditional sense; rather, they are described as aesthetic elements that function like "jewelry for sentences," allowing a writer to add a layer of charm, significance, or beauty to the text, like adding a glitter sticker or a chrome heart to a sacred document.
This intricate language is more than a set of rules; it is a living entity, celebrated with its own sacred traditions.
4. "Language Day": A Sacred Anniversary
January 11th is celebrated annually as "Language Day," marking the anniversary of Arreqqana's creation. This is not just a birthday party but a sacred occasion for reflection and creation, observed through a series of personal rituals that honor the language's past and set intentions for its future.
The celebration is built around several core ritualistic concepts:
1. The First Word Offering: A ritual honoring the language's origin by writing its first word and planting a seed for the future by creating a new 'birth-word' for the year ahead.
2. The Candle Circle: A ceremony where eight candles are lit, with each one representing a core theme of the world, such as its script, culture, rituals, and future.
3. The Year 9 Vow: A promise made for the ninth year of Arreqqana's existence, focused on what will be built, protected, and shared in the year to come.
Central to these rituals is a recurring phrase that acts as the world's core motto.
5. The Core Vow
A single, powerful phrase appears frequently throughout the rituals and documents of Arreqqana. It acts as a sacred motto or recurring vow, embodying the central spirit of the world and its creator's commitment to it.
Na taaxime. La qhiya. Na dorek.
This commitment to creation continues to evolve, embracing modern tools to bring the world to life.
6. A Note on Creation
The language tools for Arreqqana were developed by Lala Tiaana in collaboration with the AI tool known as "Conlang Creator (ChatGPT, OpenAI)," adding a modern and transparent dimension to this creative endeavor.

More Than Words: How Arreqqana Redefines Desire, Intimacy, and Sound

The language we speak is more than a tool for communication; it is the very architecture of our reality. The words we have at our disposal shape how we perceive emotions, interpret art, and understand the world around us. When a language lacks a word for a certain concept, that concept can become harder to grasp. Conversely, when a language possesses a unique and specific term for a complex idea, it grants its speakers a more nuanced lens through which to experience life. The fictional language of Arreqqana offers a profound example of this principle. It is a language built not just for communication, but for a deeper, more textured experience of existence. Within its grammar and vocabulary lie concepts for music, love, and desire that are fundamentally different from our own, offering a glimpse into another way of being. It seems only natural that a culture that treats sound as a multi-sensory, spiritual force would also develop specialized linguistic tools for its most profound ...

Peppiqhilala and Jarruwano

(explanation in sajiyuta script) In this tender nighttime scene, Jarruwano of the House of Tarraqhavvezz leans over to gently kiss Peppiqhilala’s forehead as she sleeps, wrapped peacefully beneath soft blue-and-white floral blankets. His long black hair cascades forward, brushing near her curls as his presence radiates warmth and guardianship. Dressed in his ceremonial black blazer with a crisp white shirt slightly unbuttoned, a sacred pendant resting on his chest, Jarruwano’s expression is one of silent devotion and unspoken love. Peppiqhilala sleeps serenely, her face lit with calmness, framed by her flowing curls. Her hands rest gently over the blanket, relaxed and trusting in the protection surrounding her. The entire moment is bathed in a sacred stillness—an unspoken vow between protector and beloved. This is not merely a gesture of affection; it is a vow of watchfulness. Jarruwano, as one of Peppi’s chosen guardians within the great lineage of Tarraqhavvezz, channels his lo...
