Arreqqana World Community Bank (AWCB): The Threadvault Brand Guidelines

 1.0 Introduction: Our Brand Philosophy

The Arreqqana World Community Bank (AWCB) is more than a financial institution; it is a civic utility founded on the principles of community ownership, transparent ethics, and shared prosperity. Our brand is a promise to the people of Arreqqana that their resources will remain safe, useful, and locally alive. These guidelines are the essential tools for protecting and projecting this unique identity, ensuring that every communication reflects our core values.
The foundational elements of the AWCB brand identity are:
Brand Slogans
These slogans can be used in campaigns and communications to emphasize specific aspects of our community-focused mission.
• “Banking with a Backbone and a Heart.”
• “Your savings, in your streets.”
• “Where money remembers people.”
This philosophy is visually embodied in our primary logo, the Threadvault Sigil.
2.0 Our Logo: The Threadvault Sigil
The Threadvault Sigil is the most sacred and recognizable element of our brand. It serves as the visual anchor for trust, community, and stability across all our platforms and locations. Its consistent and correct application is paramount to maintaining the integrity of our identity.
2.1 Primary Logo and Lockups
Three official logo lockups have been developed to ensure flexibility and clarity in various contexts.
• Primary Lockup: This is the most common configuration, featuring the sigil on the left and the wordmark ("Arreqqana World Community Bank" or "The Threadvault") on the right. It is the default choice for most general applications.
• Stacked Lockup: This vertical arrangement places the sigil on top with the wordmark centered below. It is designed for use in narrow spaces where the primary lockup would be too wide.
• Badge Lockup: This version uses the sigil alone and is the preferred format for app icons, social media avatars, and bank cards. The "AWCB" acronym can be added below the sigil only when the application size is 96px or larger.
2.2 Construction and Symbolism
The sigil's geometry is deliberate and meaningful. The 3-strand braid of the outer ring represents the core pillars of our institution: community, ethics, and stability. This theme is reinforced by the 3-flame structure of the central Vault Flame. Every element is constructed according to a precise proportional system based on the outer radius, designated as 'R'.
Element
Proportional Value
Outer Ring Thickness
0.12R
Inner Clear Space
0.68R
Flame Height
0.62R
Flame Base Width

0.02R
Vault Line Width
0.34R
Vault Line Thickness
0.02R
The outer silhouette of the Vault Flame has an intentional 3° right lean, symbolizing forward motion, while the ring itself remains perfectly upright.
2.3 Clear Space and Minimum Size
To ensure its integrity and visibility, the logo must always be surrounded by a minimum amount of clear space. This space is equal to 0.20R (20% of the outer radius) and must be kept free of any other text, graphics, or distracting elements.
Minimum size requirements are critical for legibility. Below a certain size, the braid detail is lost, and the Simplified Mark must be used instead.
Application
Minimum Size
Digital
24px (Simplified Mark); 48px (Primary Mark with full braid detail)
Print
8mm (Simplified Mark); 12mm (Primary Mark with full braid detail)
Below these minimum sizes for the full Primary Mark, the Simplified Mark—a single, unbraided ring with the flame—must be used to maintain clarity.
2.4 Logo Misuse
Protecting the sigil's sacred geometry is essential. The following treatments are strictly forbidden as they undermine the brand's principles of stability and clarity.
Forbidden Logo Treatments
Rationale
Stretching or Skewing
Destroys the sigil's sacred geometry and balance.
Adding Drop Shadows
Breaks the visual integrity of the weave and feels artificial.
Using Gradients Inside the Ring
The ring and flame must be solid; gradients are for backgrounds only.
Adding Extra Elements
Do not add flames, stars, or crowns. This violates the sigil's symbolism.
Outlining the Entire Mark
Weakens the logo's form. (Exception: accessibility needs).
Rotating the Sigil
The sigil has a defined top (the "over" braid at 12 o'clock) and must remain upright. The flame's 3° lean is intentional; rotating the sigil destroys this balance.
When placing the logo on visually complex or busy backgrounds, it must be contained within a solid-colored disc. This support shape ensures the sigil remains a clear and impactful focal point.
This powerful sigil is brought to life through a carefully selected color system designed to be both trustworthy and adaptable.
3.0 Our Color Palette
Color is a strategic tool for the AWCB brand, designed to convey our core values while adapting to the diverse cultural landscapes of Arreqqana. Our palette is built on a foundation of trust and clarity, with regional variations that connect us to local communities.
3.1 Primary Palette
Our primary colors of Violet and Silver are the cornerstone of our visual identity, symbolizing trust and clarity. Their application is specific and consistent.
Color
Application
Violet
Main ring and wordmark
Silver
Flame highlight or flame outline (depending on background)
3.2 Regional Palettes
To honor and reflect the communities we serve, we employ a system of regional "skins." These palettes allow our brand to feel at home across Arreqqana, from the coasts to the mountains.
Region
Color Combination
Coastal
Aqua ring, Pearl flame
Desert
Gold ring, Sand-white flame
Mountain
Slate ring, Ice-white flame
Forest
Deep green ring, Moon-silver flame
A critical rule governs the use of these palettes: Only one skin per composition. Never mix.
3.3 Monochrome Palette
For one-color applications, the logo must be rendered in either 100% black or 100% white. In this treatment, the flame is rendered as a negative space cut-out within the solid ring, preserving its form and symbolism.
The thoughtful application of color and form is completed by typography, which serves as the vehicle for our brand's voice.
4.0 Our Typography
Typography is a critical element for ensuring clarity, accessibility, and brand personality in all our communications. Our typographic style must always feel clean, professional, and humanist, reflecting our commitment to clear and approachable language.
For communications in English, the recommended typeface style is a clean humanist sans, slightly condensed.
The following text options are approved for use in our wordmark:
• Arreqqana World Community Bank
• The Threadvault
• AWCB
The visual presentation of our text directly supports the tone and substance of our words, which are guided by our distinct brand voice.
5.0 Our Voice and Tone
A consistent brand voice is essential to building and maintaining trust. The AWCB voice is that of a trusted neighbor and a wise guardian—part financial institution, part civic utility. It carries the energy of "your auntie knows the teller," balancing professionalism with genuine community connection.
The core attributes of the AWCB brand voice are:
• Community-Centric: Our language prioritizes people, neighborhoods, and shared prosperity over cold transactions. This comes to life through initiatives like our community-voted Local Project Grants.
• Trustworthy & Clear: We speak in plain language, with transparent terms and an unwavering commitment to anti-predatory principles. Our Borrower Advocate Desk exists to find solutions, not to assign blame.
• Neighborly & Supportive: Our tone is encouraging and empathetic. We offer practical, humane solutions like the Bridge Loan for when "life happens" and equip the next generation through our First Ledger Program.
• Respectful & Sacred: We acknowledge the weight of financial decisions. Ritual-friendly options, such as the Clarity Pause before signing a loan, demonstrate our respect for the individual and their journey.
The following section demonstrates how this philosophy and identity are put into practice across our most important brand touchpoints.
6.0 Brand in Application
This section provides practical examples of how the Threadvault brand manifests in key experiences. These applications are not merely designs; they are the living embodiment of our brand promise, turning our philosophy into tangible, useful tools for our community.
6.1 Digital Experience (The Threadvault App)
The Threadvault Mobile app is designed for accessibility, clarity, and cultural relevance. Its features are a direct reflection of our community-centric values:
• 3-language toggle (English / Arreqqana / Glyph Mode) ensures broad accessibility.
• The 48-Qhiya Scheduler allows members to manage bills and goals according to local timepoints.
• Round-up "Spark" saving automatically channels small amounts from purchases into a savings vault.
• QELÛVVA integration allows verified merchants to display a Threadmark Badge and enables seamless micro-transfers for tipping speakers in live rooms, embedding our bank into the fabric of the community's digital life.
6.2 Physical Experience (Branch Design)
Our branches are designed to feel sacred, not cold. They are calm, welcoming spaces for conversation and planning, not just transactions.
• The layout features a circular lobby centered around a "Thread Wall" that showcases community-funded projects.
• Semi-private pods replace open counters to allow for dignified, quiet conversations.
• A symbolic Vault Flame Lamp serves as a quiet, constant reminder of our mission to "Keep the Flame."
• A dedicated Community room is available for classes, debates, and small business clinics, reinforcing our role as a civic hub.

More Than Words: How Arreqqana Redefines Desire, Intimacy, and Sound

The language we speak is more than a tool for communication; it is the very architecture of our reality. The words we have at our disposal shape how we perceive emotions, interpret art, and understand the world around us. When a language lacks a word for a certain concept, that concept can become harder to grasp. Conversely, when a language possesses a unique and specific term for a complex idea, it grants its speakers a more nuanced lens through which to experience life. The fictional language of Arreqqana offers a profound example of this principle. It is a language built not just for communication, but for a deeper, more textured experience of existence. Within its grammar and vocabulary lie concepts for music, love, and desire that are fundamentally different from our own, offering a glimpse into another way of being. It seems only natural that a culture that treats sound as a multi-sensory, spiritual force would also develop specialized linguistic tools for its most profound ...

Peppiqhilala and Jarruwano

(explanation in sajiyuta script) In this tender nighttime scene, Jarruwano of the House of Tarraqhavvezz leans over to gently kiss Peppiqhilala’s forehead as she sleeps, wrapped peacefully beneath soft blue-and-white floral blankets. His long black hair cascades forward, brushing near her curls as his presence radiates warmth and guardianship. Dressed in his ceremonial black blazer with a crisp white shirt slightly unbuttoned, a sacred pendant resting on his chest, Jarruwano’s expression is one of silent devotion and unspoken love. Peppiqhilala sleeps serenely, her face lit with calmness, framed by her flowing curls. Her hands rest gently over the blanket, relaxed and trusting in the protection surrounding her. The entire moment is bathed in a sacred stillness—an unspoken vow between protector and beloved. This is not merely a gesture of affection; it is a vow of watchfulness. Jarruwano, as one of Peppi’s chosen guardians within the great lineage of Tarraqhavvezz, channels his lo...
